Which Wich Continues to Grow in Hampton Roads

At Which Wich, we’re proud to see how far we’ve come from our beginnings. Since 2005, we’ve been welcoming new franchisees into our team and encouraging our team members to continue to excel in their endeavors. We’re proud to announce that Franchisee Bijal Patel has just opened his third Which Wich location.

Patel opened his first location in Williamsburg in 2014 and followed it up with a second location in Virginia Beach Oceanfront in 2016. Now, after successfully launching his third location, Patel isn’t content to sit back and relax. He already has plans for two more locations, which will be opening in Norfolk within the next year.

One of these locations will be in a historic building in Norfolk, which sits at the corner of City Hall Avenue and Granby Street. Due to the historical nature of the building, there will be some constraints on the new Which Wich location’s appearance, but Patel is excited about the challenge.

According to Patel, this location will feature a glassed-in meeting area, so that local business can enjoy a delicious lunch while meeting there. This Which Wich may be a little different looking from others, but the location is a perfect spot for Patel’s vision.

The other location will be opened off of Northampton Boulevard, not far from the Norfolk Premium Outlets, and is anticipated to open in early 2019.

Patel, a resident of Newport News, first began looking for a franchise to bring to the area about five years ago. After looking over a Which Wich location in Richmond, he traveled to Dallas to learn more about the brand. Soon after that trip, he opened his Williamsburg location. A smashing success, the Williamsburg Which Wich inspired Patel to sign a deal for 10 stores. This deal brought him the exclusive right to several cities in Hampton Roads.

Now, Patel is planning out his next stores. In addition to the two in Norfolk, he’s also eyeing locations in Newport News, Hampton, and Virginia Beach. Patel says he’s waiting for the right real estate to turn up, and letting time tell him where those locations should go.

Which Wich’s unique ordering experience is one of the biggest draws of the Franchise, according to Area Director Chad Todd. With dozens of sandwich types, breakfast offerings, gluten-free options, milkshakes, vegan choices, and more than 60 toppings, there’s something for every palate at Which Wich. Our stores also offer catering and online ordering.

“We talk more about the hospitality and service then we do the food because the food speaks for itself,” states Patel. “We want to make sure that those 15 to 20 minutes in our store are the best 15 to 20 minutes of your day.”
